Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) Edition With 4.7-inch Super AMOLED Display & 2,000 mAH Battery Goes Official In India

Samsung Electronics has silently introduced a new budget smartphone in India in the J-Series portfolio, dubbed as, “Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017)” . This Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) Edition smartphone is currently listed on Samsung official website without the pricing details, which hints that, it will be launching very soon across the country . At the the official Samsung website, “Where To Buy” options has been disabled.

However, a popular Mumbai-based offline retailer Mahesh Telecom has revealed the pricing details on the official Twitter handler,

it claims that the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) has been launched at priced Rs. 7,390.

Talking about the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) smartphone specifications, it featuring 4.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution 960 x 540 pixels . Under the hood, the device is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad-core Exynos processor coupled with 1GB of RAM . As for the memory, the device comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage capacity out of which only 4.3GB is user accessible . Further, it can be expandable memory up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

This Dual SIM Galaxy J2 (2017) handset is backed by 2,000 mAH removable battery and comes with Ultra Data Saving mode feature which the company claims can help users save up to 50% percent data . The Galaxy J2 (2017) Edition runs on Android operating system (version not revealed).

Coming to the optics, the smartphone is equipped with 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and 2-megapixel front facing selfie shooter for selfies and video chat as well.
