Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 Launched With 8.0-inch Display, Rugged Body, S-Pen And Bixby Support

South-Korean Electronics company Samsung has launched a new rugged feature tablet in Netherlands, which is called as, “Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2” . The name of the tablet indicates that, it is the successor version of Galaxy Tab Active, which was launched back in the year 2014 . This new Galaxy Tab Active 2 launched at the price point of €500 (roughly USD$ 588 or Rs. 38,248) and will be made available in the Netherlands starting late November.

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a rugged body design with military-standard MIL-STD-810 certification which means it can survive extreme pressures, temperatures, climates, shocks and traps . Besides this, the device has IP68 Certified ratings which means it is dust and water resistant . It also comes with better display technology for use with gloves and wet fingers.

This newly launched Galaxy Tab Active 2 is running on Android v7.0 Nougat operating system and is backed by 4,450 mAH removable battery capacity . As for the display, the device comes with 8.0-inch LCD display with a screen resolution 1280 x 800 pixels . The company is also offering S-Pen and Bixby support (Home and Voice).

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is powered by Octa-Core Exynos 7880 chipset processor clocked speed at 1.6GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM . As for the memory, it is packaging with 16GB of internal storage capacity and further can be expandabke memory through microSD card slot.

On the camera department, this tablet is equipped with 8-megapixel autofocus primary rear camera with LED Flash while there is a 5-megapixel front facing selfie sensor for selfies and video calling support as well . There is a Fingerprint reader which is embedded into the physical home button to unlocking the tablet.

Other connectivity options on this Galaxy Tab Active 2 tablet are as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, GPS with A-GPS/GLONASS, USB Type C port and 4G LTE (Model dependent).
