LG X Venture Rugged Smartphone With 5.2-inch Display, 16MP Rear Camera & 4,100 mAH Battery Launched

South-Korean smartphone manufacturing company LG announced a new rugged smartphone in the the X-Series department, which is called as, “LG X Venture” . The main attraction of this LG X Venture is IP68 Certified ratings which means water and dust resistance ( which can be immersed in 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes) and also passing also passed 14-different MIL-STD 810G tests designed for the US Military.


In terms of specifications-wise, the LG X Venture rugged smartphone featuring a metal frame coupled with non-slip back cover . Interestingly, the device also comes with QuickButton on the side and three physical keys on the front, which allow customers to interact with the phone while wearing gloves or in wet or muddy environments . It works differently depending on how you pressed the button — short press button for Outdoor Essentials, long press button for settings and double press to toggle Glove Mode to recognize screen taps and swipes with gloved fingers . It can be further customised to launch apps and works even when the screen is off.. Further, the smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor on the front to unlock your phone quickly within a seconds.

Screen-wise, the device is packaging with 5.2-inch Full HD In-Cell Touchscreen Display with a screen resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels at 423 ppi pixel per inch . Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 (4 corea at Cortex A53 1.4GHz + 4 cores at Cortex A53 1.1GHz) Octa-Core processor paired with Adreno 505 graphic processor unit . The smartphone comes with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM , 32 GB of internal storage capacity and can be expandable memory up to 2-tegabyte through microSD card slot to store a large number of stuffs.

Software-wise, the device is running on latest Android v7.0 Nougat operating system skin on top out of the box and is backed by massive 4,100 mAH Non-removable Li-Ion battery with Qualcomm Quick charge 2.0 technology supports, which the company claims to offering up to 24-hours of backup and the device charges from empty to 50% percent in only just 48-minutes.

For the photography enthusiasts, the LG X Venture smartphone comes with 16-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, autofocus and a 5-megapixel front selfie sensor with 120-degree wide angle lens to taking good selfies and for video chat as well . Other primary camera featuring that adds beauty to this smartphone are as Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR, panorama mode.

Connectivity options on this LG X Venture rugged smartphone are as WiFi 802.11 ac , Dual-band , WiFi Direct , Hotspot , Bluetooth v4.2 LE , GPS with A-GPS/GLONASS , NFC , FM Radio , 3.5 mm headphone jack ,microUSB v2.0 , Type-C 1.0 reversible connector , 4G VoLTE Supported . The LG X Venture device has Outdoor Essentials, a multi-purpose application with six useful tools in a single application that includes a active lifestyle app with barometer, compass, activity counter (steps/calories/distance), exercise tracker, weather reporter and flashlight.

The physical measurement of LG X Venture handset be 154.0 x 75.8 x 9.29 mm and weighes be 166.5 Grams . The smartphone comes in Brown and Black color options and goes on sale in the U.S. through AT&T carrier starting from May 26th for USD$11 per month for 30 months, or about USD$330 (which is roughly around Rs.21,302) . In the upcoming few weeks, the LG X Venture rugged smartphone be also be available in the Middle East , Europe , Asia , Africa and Latin America.
