Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has all set to launch it’s next Generation smartphone in India, dubbed as,“OnePlus 5” . The company has confirms that the OnePlus has launching OnePlus 5 high-end flagship in India on June 22nd 2017 at 14:00 PM in an event in Mumbai . It is also giving away 5 OnePlus 5 phones for those setting up SMS alert (from today to June 20th) to watch the OnePlus 5 launch live . The OnePlus company has also twitted on a official page with a hashtag,“Focus on what matters”, which implies that the upcoming smartphone will bank heavily on the camera department.
As for the specs, the upcoming top-end OnePlus 5 smartphone featuring a 5.5-inch Quad HD Touchscreen display with a screen resolution 2560 x 1440 pixels . The device is backed by powerful 2.45 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Quad core chipset processor which is paired with Adreno 540 graphics unit . The device comes in two storage variants – 6GB LPDDR4 RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage capacity and 6GB LPDDR4 RAM with huge 128GB storage space . Like other OnePlus smartphpone, the device does not support any external microSD card slot.
The main focus of OnePlus 5 smartphone is on the camera department, the smartphone is already reported to sport a dual-camera setup and the brand has also teamed up with DxO, to enhance the photography benchmark . From a previous report, it confirms that it sports a 12-megapixel Dual Rear Cameras with Sony’s sensors . Up on the front, it bears a 8-megapixel front facing selfie sensor on the other side to capturing beautiful images even in low light conditions as well.
The upcoming OnePlus 5 device is running on latest Android v7.1.1 Nougat operating system based on Oxygen OS skin on top out of the box and is backed by a larger 3,600 mAH battery (earlier report by Evan Blass claims that it is powered by 4,000 mAH Built-in battery).
As per the earlier leaks report, Like OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, the upcoming OnePlus 5 smartphone boasts a Fingerprin sensor on the front which is integrated into the home button to unlock your phone within a seconds . The OnePlus CEO also confirms that, the OnePlus 5 will be the thinnest flagship yet.
However, the OnePlus 5 high-end flagship to be launching in India on June 22nd at The National Sports Club of India (NSCI) Dome in Worli, Mumbai and starts at 14:00 PM 2017.
